Until 2015, I was enjoying working as a Claimant Personal Injury Solicitor, with more than 15 years’ experience behind me. Because I thrived on connecting with, and investing time in developing relationships with potential and existing clients, I was consistently asked to take on additional Business Development roles within many of the Law Firms in which I was employed.
I started using LinkedIn as a tool for business and network growth and I quickly realised its untapped potential for everyone within the professional services industry and beyond. I used LinkedIn whilst in practice to keep in contact with existing and future clients, key influencers and business associates- and I saw the results. There was a noticeable increase in enquiries into each of the practices, referrals were made by existing clients and lasting business opportunities and relationships were forged.
In March 2015, I took the unconventional step of leaving behind my legal career to start my own business within a completely different industry. I started Links2Leads with an initial focus on providing professional and expert LinkedIn profile writing and account management services, LinkedIn training courses and 1-to-1 LinkedIn coaching to business owners, employees and job seekers across all markets. Teaching my clients the art of networking, how to seek out lasting strategic alliances and how to expand each of their businesses and unique brands has been incredibly fulfilling. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing a whole community of LinkedIn users develop within the Thames Valley area and beyond, many of whom are continually helping and supporting one another to grow and market their various products and services. Clients will often say to me that they have surprised themselves with how invaluable LinkedIn has become to the overall future success of their businesses.
In response to ongoing demand from my clients and contacts within the Legal Industry, I began 2017 by offering a comprehensive range of legal marketing and business development services specifically for Solicitors particularly Sole Practitioners and small to medium sized High Street Law Firms too. Because of my background, I have a unique, working knowledge of the challenges faced by Lawyers every day, and as a result I’m able to offer proven, reliable advice that can make a measurable and substantial difference. A local Law Firm is such a vital part of each and every community, and I’m passionate about helping smaller Firms discover what makes them unique; enabling them to take a step back and look objectively at their service offering and overall business from an outsider point of view, while ensuring that they can compete, evolve, stand out and succeed in the long-term.
